‘Februar’ was a small exhibition hosted by the Castle Gallery in Inverness throughout February 2020.

The exhibition presented a series of ceramic works, one created for each day of February. Drawing inspiration from winter wildlife and seasonal flora, alongside traditional folklore, customs, and festivals associated with the month, the pieces explored February as a time often overlooked—brief, quiet, and transitional.

Together, the works offered a moment to slow down and reflect on the rhythms, stories, and subtle beauty of this short month, inviting viewers to reconsider February not as an absence of time, but as a space for pause and contemplation.
